Dr. Lindsy Lawrence is a professor of English. Winner of the 2023 Lucille Speakman Master Teacher Award, she teaches a variety of courses in cultural studies, digital humanities, and 18th- and 19th-century British literature. She has published work on Elizabeth Gaskell, serial poetry publication, and Neo-Victorian themes in contemporary television series such as "Downton Abbey" and "Doctor Who." Her recent publications include a chapter on women poets in Blackwood’s Edinburgh Magazine in Women, Periodicals and Print Culture in Britain, 1830s-1900s: The Victorian Period (2019) and an essay on poetry in Belgravia and collaboration with undergraduate researchers. Her current project looks at the serial novels of Frances Hodgson Burnett. She is co-director of the
