5th Annual Invest Fort Smith Slated for Nov. 16

64.6 Downtown in partnership with the AV¶¶Òõ Center for Economic Development and the AV¶¶Òõ ASBTDC will host the 5th Annual Invest Fort Smith during Global Entrepreneurship Week, November 14th- 20th.  

This year’s summit will take place on Wednesday, November 16, and is designed for local residents to hear from and network with like-minded business owners, developers, and entrepreneurs. Sessions will be held at the University of Arkansas Fort Smith Center for Economic Development located in The Bakery District 70 South 7th Street.  

Session topics include: 

• Contracting with Governments and Schools:  Learn from the Procurement Departments of government agencies and educational institutions regarding their product/service needs while gaining understanding of the process to become a vendor.
• Economic Benefits of Inclusion:  Panelists will discuss why it’s important to business sustainability for entrepreneurs and businesses to engage in the promotion of inclusivity within business practices related to hiring/promotion, customer relations, and supplier diversity.
• Preparing for Business Growth:  Panelists will discuss how the community can prepare for opportunities developed around the military instillations and other businesses in the pipeline.
