Nine new resident assistants will join a team of 11 returning RAs and the rest of the housing crew at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith for the 2017-18 academic school year.

“The caliber of student leaders at AV is absolutely impressive, and it is never an easy decision on whom to select,” said Beth Eppinger, director of housing and residential life. “These RAs will serve as role models to their residents and the entire campus. An RA may spend a day going to class, working at the front desk, meeting with residents, to putting on a program. They must be able to balance all the demands of a student and the demands of the position.”

New RAs include:

Asaba, Nigeria: Anthony Osagwu.

Cedarville: Sierra Odom.

Fort Smith: Johnny Resendiz.

Grand Forks, N.D.: Ryan Kenyon.

Green Forest: Michelle Perez.

Mena: Ethan Hamilton.

Mulberry: AnnMarie McCollum.

Van Buren: Evan Koleszar.

West Fork: Tori Seaman.

Returning RAs who will serve in the Lion’s Den are Kaden Aary of Spiro, Okla.; Travis Christensen of Edmond, Okla.; Darci Hays of West Fork; Austin Merriott of Hot Springs; Savannah Page of Broken Arrow, Okla.; Steven Stone of Lamar; and Samantha Strain of Hot Springs.

Returning RAs for the Sebastian Commons are Kelsey Holmes of Hot Springs; Joel Kirkland of Van Buren; Austin Lloyd of Pearland, Texas; and Mason Rhodes of Russellville.
