Dear colleagues and students,

Happy November! I could hardly believe it when I looked at my calendar and realized that fall 2024 commencement is only six weeks away. Time flies when you are working hard and having fun.

HLC Student Survey: As part of AV抖阴鈥檚 reaccreditation process, students will soon receive a survey from the . This is your opportunity to provide feedback on your experiences here at AV抖阴, and I hope you will keep a close eye out for this email on Monday. Please take a few minutes to complete it when it arrives.

Robotics Champions: My sincere congratulations to the AV抖阴 Robotics team who won 1^st place in the field competition and overall winners in the 2024 ATMAE student robotics competition. We are so proud of your hard work and achievements.

Rally and Refresh: Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night at the AV抖阴 Volleyball game begins today from 4:30 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the Bill and 鈥淢iss鈥� Wanda Srygley Room at the Stubblefield Center. We will be giving out two (2) $500 professional development awards and you must be present to win. Please enjoy food and beverages and stay to cheer on the AV抖阴 Lion Volleyball team to victory!

A big thanks to Luther Stem and AV抖阴 Plant Operations for working on the beautiful fountains on either side of the Bell Tower. They look beautiful and we will enjoy them for a while this fall and again next spring. Be sure to get your selfies and graduation photos at the fountains before they are turned off for the winter.
